Road Maintenance

Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Projects in Monroe County, information on projects can be found at the MDOT website.

1. In the upper Left corner of the window make sure to click the little traffic cone to see the active construction sites.
2. Then click on one of the traffic cone symbols for a popup window containing updated information.

Please check the map often for all closures as the Monroe County Road Commission may not receive notices from MDOT on all closures.

2023 Project Map

The Monroe County Road Commission has developed a new interactive project map that features weekly updates, popup information windows and filters.

• Popup window - This map has some basic information associated with each project location, click on a location to open a dialog box showing various details about the project.
• Filter - By default, all data is displayed, you can select one or a combination of data fields to display.

2015-2023 Project map

Full local mowing means front and back side of ditches on local roads Front local means from edge of road to bottom of ditch on local roads Full primary mean front and backs of primary roads.
